September, 1958
The 12th Street Christian Reformed Church decided to begin a mission church in Sparta and they began meeting in the Legion Hall.

October, 1962
Mr. Henry Hoekstra, a full-time missionary, arrived with his family to serve the Sparta church and community. He stayed until 1971 where he was then called to serve at the chapel in Allegan, Michigan.

February 2, 1966
The church on Kings Blvd. was built and dedicated.  20 families now worship at Trinity.

November, 1972
Rev. Bud Ver Meer, who served Trinity as a seminarian in the 60’s, became the pastor of Trinity CRC. Rev. Ver Meer stayed until July of 1974 when he accepted the challenge to serve the Pioneer CRC in Cedar Springs, Michigan.

June, 1974
Trinity held its organizational worship service with Rev. John W. Dykstra of 12th Street CRC presiding.

November, 1974
Rev. Herman Teitsma was installed as the new pastor at Trinity. He served faithfully until he was called to serve as the Minister of Evangelism at Sunshine CRC in Grand Rapids, MI in 1979.

October, 1979
Rev. Terry Genzink was installed as the under-shepherd at Trinity and served faithfully until he took a call in March of 1986 to Pipestone CRC in Minnesota.

January, 1981
Through the marvelous grace of God, 40 families worship the Lord at Trinity.

September, 1986
Rev. John FIsher was installed as the new pastor of Trinity and served faithfully until he took a call in December of 1989 to Renville, Minnesota to serve Emden CRC.  The congregation now has 50 families worshipping at Trinity.

October, 1990
Pastor CJ served as a seminarian and then did a one year internship beginning in June of 1991 until he was ordained and installed in September of 1992.

June, 1994
The property at 660 S. State St. was purchased and we dedicated  our new facility in February of 1997. Trinity is blessed with 84 families worshipping with us.

December, 1998
Seminarian Tyler Wagenmaker was hired part-time until June of 2000 when he took a call to Beaverdam CRC.

July, 2001
Ground was broken on the new education east wing and was completed in July of 2001.

April, 2001
Dave Vander Meer was hired as an Assistant Pastor and served faithfully until he accepted a call to serve Rusk CRC in October of 2003.

May, 2005
Mark Neymeiyer was hired as our youth pastor and served faithfully until he accepted a call to serve Rusk CRC in January of 2010.

October, 2008
We celebrated 50 years with 124 families.  Over the span of these years, there were approximately 245 baptisms and 237 professions of faith.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

December, 2010
Shaun Furniss was hired as our associate/youth pastor, was ordained in September, 2012 and served Trinity faithfully until he took a call to North Street CRC in May of 2014.
